How does the Ionspa work?
The Ion Cleanse Spa uses a dual electrode module (a positive anode and a negative cathode) called an “array”, which is placed in the water of the spa. The array creates an electromagnetic field in the spa and allows for a process called “osmosis” to occur. Osmosis is a scientific term that is used to describe the movement of particles from one location to another, through a membrane or tissue. The array, once placed in the water, creates a high concentration of charged ions, allowing the process of Osmosis to occur. The energized ions in the water act like magnets, drawing toxins out of the body through the 2000+ sweat glands located in each foot. Toxins are removed from the body and deposited in the water.
How Soon Will I Feel Results?
Most experience a greater feeling of well-being from each session. Some may experience thirst, light headedness, headache, or a sense of being tired. Key elements in all detoxification are: drink plenty of water, rest and proper nutrition. It is also recommended that a vitamin/mineral supplement be taken following the treatment. Regular continued use will eliminate stored toxins and restore natural health and wellness.
What will I see in the water during a session?
You will notice the effects of the detoxification process in the spa water immediately, depending on the levels of toxins in your body. The toxins in the water will come from two sources: the water itself and from the affected areas of the body. The colour of the water and the particulate will generally be associated with specific areas of the body being cleansed. Water-based toxins will not stick to the side of the basin nor the array, whereas toxins leaving the body will form a sludge that will float and adhere to spa basin.

-Persons prone to epileptic seizures

-People diagnosed with serious illness
-People suffering from fever
-Children under the age of five
Please also be aware of the following:
-Remove all magnetic and metal jewellery
-Persons with low blood sugar should eat 2 -4 hrs before using Ionspa
-Computers and cellular phones should not be used during treatment.
-Because the Ionspa Detoxification System is designed to eliminate toxins that the kidney and liver cannot eliminate on their own, as a general rule, it may be used by persons on dialysis or by those diagnosed with diabetes. However, people with these conditions, or any other medical condition, should consult their physician prior to implementing the Ionspa Detoxification as part of their healing program.
-As the Ionspa foot bath pulls toxins from the bloodstream, it may also cause valuable electrolytes (calcium, potassium, sodium and magnesium) to be purged from the body. To replenish the body, users are strongly encouraged to take supplements that provide the aforementioned minerals, preferably in liquid form, as well as fatty acids and vitamin C. Some people replace minerals with natural food sources, concentrated foods such as vegetable juices or super foods (chlorella, greens+ green phyto-power ect.)
-People should be properly hydrated prior to and after each foot bath session.
